Ms. Shanise DeMar

Ms. Shanise DeMar is a Research Associate at IMPAQ International with ten years of experience leading program implementation and quality improvement efforts for federally-funded health and human services contracts. Ms. DeMar is also skilled in the application of project management principles to contracts managed in a research and consulting environment. She is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Expertise

Ms. DeMar has significant experience supporting program implementation and monitoring contracts, including developing training materials, facilitating web-based and in-person training modules, and writing standard operating procedures. Ms. DeMar is also skilled in the application of business process reengineering techniques to redesign workflows to maximize efficiency and meet operational goals. Ms. DeMar is trained in qualitative research methods, including conducting needs assessments, developing focus group moderator guides, leading focus groups, and conducting key informant interviews.  Ms. DeMar is also experienced in information dissemination, assembling program information and project findings into reports, marketing materials and other communication modalities most appropriate for a variety of program stakeholders. Ms. DeMar also applies best practices in project management to oversee project budgets, manage project resources, and to ensure that project deliverables are high-quality, timely, and within scope.

Clients

Ms. DeMar has supported a number of contracts funded by operating divisions within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, including the Administration for Children & Families, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Health Resources & Services Administration, the National Institutes of Health, and the Food and Drug Administration.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining IMPAQ, Ms. DeMar was a Consultant at The Lewin Group. While there, she supported program monitoring and evaluation contracts focused on early childhood development, women’s wellness, and teen pregnancy prevention.

Education

Ms. DeMar earned her MPH in Community Health Education from Temple University. Her professional certification as a PMP was obtained through the Project Management Institute (PMI).
