Ms. Sharon R. Benus, Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Sharon R. Benus is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of IMPAQ International, LLC.  In her role as CEO, Ms. Benus has overall responsibility for corporate operations, including financial, information technology, human resources, and administrative activities of the firm.  Since 2001, Ms. Benus has focused her efforts on building IMPAQ from a start-up business to a well-respected research firm with over 100 employees.

Prior to founding IMPAQ, Ms. Benus served for over 25 years in various senior management positions in state government, in a university, and in the private industry sector.  Her diverse experience working in Federal, state, and local government arenas has strongly influenced IMPAQ’s ability to interface effectively with its clients. 

In her position at the University of Maryland, she helped to oversee the Office of Sponsored Research, as well as student services and the Health and Human Services Library.  While in the private sector, Ms. Benus developed substantial experience in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, organizational development, supervision, and staff development.  She has worked extensively in the employment, job training, and health sectors. 

Ms. Benus earned an M.A. in Education from the University of Michigan and graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in history.
