IMPAQ is providing support to the U.S. Census Bureau under Technical Area 1 (Assessment, Planning and Analysis) of the Census Research & Development 2014 IDIQ.  Task orders issued under this IDIQ contract will implement R&D projects that will assist the Bureau’s leaders in making scientific and management decisions that affect the entire scope of operations, including the Decennial Census, the ongoing American Community Survey, Economic and Demographic Survey Programs, and a variety of cross-sectional, time-series, and longitudinal surveys conducted on behalf of other agencies. Task orders within Area 1 will assist the Bureau to identify, develop, adopt, extend, and improve the approaches, methods, systems, procedures, techniques, and technology used to accomplish their mission and to satisfy their organizational performance objectives.  Advisory and assistance services provided under task orders will also enable the Bureau’s divisions, offices, programs, and centers to advance their capabilities to meet ever growing demands for more and better information to support policy and program decisions.  Specific R&D activities in Area 1 will be related to survey planning, cost and workload modeling, survey assessment, survey management assistance, technical analysis, and technology assessment.
