Senior Research Associate Dr. Leanne Clark-Shirley will present “National Perspectives on the Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP),” during the GWEP Pre-Conference session at the upcoming American Geriatrics Society (AGS) Annual Scientific Meeting. The session will take place on May 17 from 11:30-5:30 PM in Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Room 304. The session is not open to the public.
Dr. Clark-Shirley has more than 12 years of experience with health, aging, and long-term care policy research. She has served on multidisciplinary health services research teams for a number of state and federally-funded projects focusing on quality of care, home and community-based services, and consumer direction. Her skillset includes qualitative research design and analysis, evaluation design, and quality indicator development.
The AGS Annual Scientific Meeting provides the latest information on clinical care, research on aging, and innovative models of care delivery. The event will address the educational needs of geriatrics professionals from all disciplines. Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, social workers, long-term care and managed care providers, health care administrators, and others will expand their knowledge and skills through state-of-the-art educational sessions and research presentations.
