IMPAQ International announced this week the promotions of both Dr. Paul Gorrell and Ms. Tina Barretto to the positions of Vice President, Health. The promotions come against the backdrop of the continued growth of IMPAQ’s Health Division, which has seen its portfolio of projects for various clients, including for CMS and the Department of Health and Human Services, expand significantly in 2013.
“Over the past year Tina and Paul have been instrumental in the success and growth of our Health Division, leveraging their more than 20 years of experience each to help us achieve our best year to date,” said Dr. David Baker, Senior Vice President of IMPAQ’s Health Division.
Baker noted that, in addition to his continued role on IMPAQ’s Health team, Dr. Gorrell, who is also a Principal Research Scientist at IMPAQ, will now also helm IMPAQ’s expanding Washington D.C. office, where he will represent the Columbia-based company’s Executive Leadership.
For her part, Sharon Benus, IMPAQ’s CEO, welcomed the new Vice Presidents to the company’s Senior Executive Team. “With great success comes new challenges, and we are fortunate to be able to rely on individuals such as Tina and Paul when meeting those challenges. We are looking forward to expanding the scope and breadth of their responsibilities so that they can continue helping us build a stronger, better IMPAQ,” she added.
Previously the Director of Analytic Programming and Quality Assurance for IMPAQ, Dr. Gorrell joined the company in 2010 after working as a Senior Research Scientist and Project Manager at Social & Scientific Systems. During his tenure there, Dr. Gorrell provided research and data analysis support for AHRQ’s annual National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Reports to Congress.
Ms. Barretto joined IMPAQ as a Senior Research Associate in 2012, after serving as a Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. During her time at Booze Allen, she was instrumental in designing and implementing training and technical assistance and grants management delivery models for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), and the Office of Head Start (OHS).
