W. Christopher Brandt, Ph.D. Joins IMPAQ as VP of Education

IMPAQ International welcomes Dr. W. Christopher Brandt as Vice President, Education Division. Dr. Brandt will be responsible for strategic planning, new business development, and oversight of IMPAQ’s education practice area. Dr. Brandt will be a member of the IMPAQ executive team and will participate in setting and executing corporate objectives, priorities, and implementation plans.

Dr. Brandt brings more than 16 years of leadership experience in education programs and evaluations. After starting his career as an elementary school teacher, he spent 10 years at the American Institutes for Research where he became a Principal Researcher and the Deputy Director of the Regional Educational Laboratory – Midwest. His articles and book chapters regularly appear in leading industry publications, and he presents at numerous national conferences. 

Before joining IMPAQ, Dr. Brandt worked as the Executive Director of Assessment and Accountability at the Community Unit School District 303 in Saint Charles, IL, where he was responsible for analyzing and reporting data from surveys and assessments, providing leadership and oversight for districtwide program evaluation and research, coordinating data-driven school improvement and classroom instruction, and administrating the district's student assessment program.

IMPAQ’s Education Division collaborates with the U.S. Department of Education, private foundations, non-profits, school districts, and state and local government agencies to conduct rigorous research and evaluation of programs, policies, and practices in education. Specific focus areas include: systemic reforms and technical assistance, teacher quality, non-cognitive factors, early childhood education, and behavioral interventions.
