IMPAQ delivered a qualitative project evaluation of the Multimorbidity Guiding Principles (MGP) application and online educational tools for the American Geriatric Society. The evaluation included:

  1. Usage tracking;
  2. Feedback from users on ease of use and functionality;
  3. A review of the clinical relevance of the content for various clinical encounters and care settings; and
  4. An exploration of the effect of the application on increasing awareness of treatment needs of multimorbid, complex older adult patients, developing tailored care plans, and the user's likelihood to use the application and/or recommend it to colleagues.

This work assists in the development of mobile applications that may help providers quickly identify current guidelines, treatment plans, and basic clinical testing tools for older adults with multimorbidities.

We used a mixed methods approach, which combined data collected from a web survey of providers, in-depth interviews, and application analytics. Our team included senior researchers, analysts, web designers, and programmers with decades of experience in mixed methods research, evaluations, and survey design and implementation, as well as in health and mobile applications.
