IMPAQ Welcomes Mark Koepke as a Health Division Managing Director

IMPAQ International welcomes Mr. Mark Koepke as a Managing Director in the Health Division. As a Managing Director, Mr. Koepke will oversee key business development relationships with various organizations and government agencies to enhance IMPAQ’s health policy business line.

Mr. Koepke has extensive experience creating and administering complex health care programs on behalf of the federal government, major hospitals, health plans, and corporations. He has also demonstrated success working with C-level decision makers to interpret and manage complicated data and issues. His core competencies include: program and project management, performance measurement, compliance and quality auditing, policy and regulatory analysis, strategic planning, and business development.

Mr. Koepke also brings extensive knowledge of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), where he spent almost a decade as a Government Task Leader and Project Officer. In this role, he managed projects and contractors for multiple programs in the Office of Clinical Standards and Quality (OCSQ) and the Office of Financial Management (OFM).

Before working at CMS, he served as a Director of Compliance for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Manager of Quality Improvement for New Mexico-based Presbyterian Health Plan, Manager of Policy at the Washington Business Group on Health, and Hospital Administrator at two large health centers, the University of Chicago and Methodist Hospital in Houston.

Prior to joining IMPAQ, Mr. Koepke served as the Director for Strategic Program Development at Social & Science Systems (SSS) and, before that, in a similar role at the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care (now Telligen).

Mr. Koepke holds an undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Duke University. He also earned a Juris Doctor and a Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Iowa.
