The need for rigorous measurement has increased as the healthcare delivery system has rapidly evolved in recent years. As a leader in quality and performance measurement, IMPAQ International has helped health care innovators and purchasers develop and deploy various tools to assess the value of health care and health care policy.

We leverage our unique mix of talented staff and leaders, including clinicians, methodologists, economists, and data scientists, to expertly navigate all aspects of the measure/development lifecycle. Through our various client-sponsored projects, IMPAQ is helping to shift the health care delivery system paradigm to one that rewards value rather than volume.

IMPAQ provides end-to-end measure/development services to support our clients. Recent projects include creating a quality measure set used to assess the quality of care that Medicare beneficiaries receive through dialysis-focused accountable care organizations, developing patient reported quality of life measures to determine how effectively these dialysis providers improve the beneficiary’s quality of life while saving the Medicare program money, and developing care coordination measures for the Medicare Plan Finder website to also be used in the Medicare Parts C&D Star Ratings Systems.

Additionally, IMPAQ is developing new quality measures for the Quality Rating System for the health plans offered in the Marketplaces established by the Affordable Care Act. IMPAQ also operates the Consensus-Based Entity Certification program that assesses applicants’ ability to calculate and accurately report valid and reliable quality, efficiency, resource use, and composite measures.
