Applied Research Studies
IMPAQ brings significant corporate and individual experience in conducting research studies to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of various government programs and to develop a better understanding of the programs, processes, and systems that may impact their success. We have proven experience in conducting economic analyses, literature reviews, case studies, surveys, interviews, focus groups, benchmarking studies, analyses of program and administrativedata, and the conduct of cross-cultural or cross-organizational comparisons.
Results Useful for Decision-makers
IMPAQ has developed a strong reputation for our ability to collect and analyze data and information efficiently. We also are well known for presenting the results and recommendations of our research studies in a straight-forward manner that government decision-makers can use to support the establishment of new policies and programs or make changes to existing ones to improve program outcomes and increase program efficiency and effectiveness.
A Diverse Research Portfolio
Examples of recent applied research studies conducted by IMPAQ staff vary from developing, testing, and implementing performance measures and measurement systems for evaluating Medicare programs and providers; to conducting research to assess the services and supports available and needed for individuals with autism spectrum disorders; to preparing research papers on the Unemployment Insurance (UI) system to inform a redesign of the UI system to improve outcomes and achieve cost savings.
