Impact Evaluation Studies
IMPAQ’s name derives from our firm’s unique expertise and experience in conducting random assignment and quasi-experimental design program evaluation studies to assess the impact of labor, health, education, and other social programs. Our team has designed, developed, and implemented state-of-the-art techniques and approaches for both domestic and international government clients, including the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the World Bank, the Millenium Challenge Corporation, and foreign governments. Our studies have focused on identifying impacts through benefit-cost analysis, assessment of social impacts, and estimations of return-on-investment.
Collection of Program and Administrative Data
Our research staff is skilled in working with states, grantees, community and faith-based organizations, and other program operators to obtain and transfer program performance and other administrative data securely and efficiently. Our statistical programming staff members are highly skilled in cleaning and processing the data collected to develop the analytical files necessary for evaluating program impacts.
Web-based Participant Tracking System
To support our impact evaluation projects, we have developed and implemented a proprietary, web-based information system, the Participant Tracking System (PTS), which provides our researchers and clients with real-time tracking of participant activities and outcomes. The PTS also produces detailed management reports that provide an early warning to researchers regarding issues related to the evaluation implementation that need to be addressed.
Survey Data Collection
IMPAQ houses its own survey center to facilitate the collection of baseline and follow-up survey data from program participants. Our well-trained interviewer staff of more than 50 interviewers specializes in the collection of research-oriented data that meet the highest standards for reliability and integrity.
