Mr. Stephen Coy
Mr. Stephen E. Coy is IMPAQ's Vice President, Corporate Development where he oversees our external growth efforts. In this role, he is a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to our CEO, Avi Benus. Mr. Coy is also, Executive Director & Chief Strategy Officer of our wholly-owned subsidiary, ASCEND, a technology company that delivers data-based products and information resources for communities of interest.
Mr. Coy has more than 30 years of experience in providing vision, leadership, and business acumen to a wide variety of organizations in the healthcare, education, research, information services, and technology industries. He has a proven track record of success in creating new business lines and expanding current product and service reach in start-ups, non-profits, and established companies.
Prior to joining IMPAQ, Mr. Coy was the Vice President of Inovalon, where he established the Health Data Insights business line, the cornerstone of which was his creation of the concept of the MORE² Registry™, a revolutionary data warehouse supporting population health management and life sciences research. As Senior Vice President of the American College of Cardiology, he developed the business strategy that transformed the National Cardiovascular Data Registry into the nation’s largest and most successful medical society registry. He also led the creation of a digital product strategy that modernized distance learning and launched ACC's patient engagement website (CardioSmart). As the founder and President of eHealthFirst, he created Hospital Insight™, an innovative data warehouse and provider-based population health benchmarking tool that was ultimately acquired by UnitedHealthcare.
Mr. Coy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington Adventist University, with a Minor in Marketing/Communications.
