Project Updates

As a part of the Qualified Entity Certification for Medicare Data Program (QECP), certified QEs are now able to use Medicare data received under the QE program to provide or sell non-public analyses or combined data to certain authorized users. The IMPAQ QECP team supported CMS to prepare for this announcement on July 1. On July 8, QECP team members presented a webinar with more than 100 participants including QEs, applicants, and prospective applicants. IMPAQ’s QECP team includes Justine Wagner, Kahreen Tebeau, Anna Michie, Shanise DeMar, Melinda Warth, Bryan Gale, Paulette Mensah, Peter Morrison, Stacy Farr, Tiffiny Bernichon, Anne Pick, Lolita Kachay, Kahsa Teum, Abisola Abolude, Cory Missimore, and Doug Douty.

The Tennessee Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Trafficking BPR team was recently on site in Nashville, TN. The team provided training to more than 50 staff members of the Tennessee Department of Human Services Program Integrity Unit. The project team includes Madeleine Levin, Zachary Miller, Jennifer Pooler, Andrés Romualdo, Adriane Thomas, Jessica Smith, and Anna Yego.

IMPAQ joined research and LGBT organizations to deliver interventions in 10 cities across the country for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office on Women’s Health. IMPAQ’s “Doing it for Ourselves: Promoting Health among Older Lesbian and Bisexual Women in the San Francisco Bay Area” project, was led by Nada Rayyes. Recently, Women’s Health Issues published a description of the intervention in “Program Design for Healthy Weight in Lesbian and Bisexual Women: A Ten-City Prevention Initiative,” co-authored by Nada Rayyes. The journal also published findings in, “Healthy Weight in Lesbian and Bisexual Women Aged 40 and Older: An Effective Intervention in 10 Cities Using Tailored Approaches,” featured on the journal’s homepage and co-authored by Linda Toms Barker.

Today, Mousumi Sarkar is presenting “Cross-Cultural Instrument Development and Testing: Lessons from India and Rwanda” at the Washington-Baltimore Chapter of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (DC-AAPOR) & Washington Statistical Society Summer Preview/Review Conference in Washington, DC. IMPAQ is also a Gold Sponsor of the event.
