IMPAQ recently concluded an evaluation of the Linking Innovation, Knowledge, and Employment (@LIKE) program. @LIKE was funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation Fund initiative and provided career training, life coaching, and education and employment services to disconnected young adults 18-24 years old in three counties in Southern California. The program aimed to enable young adults to meet educational and labor market goals, remain employed, and increase their earnings. IMPAQ found that the program met the goals set, was effective in recruiting and serving its target population, had significant impacts on key outcomes, and saw per capita participant benefits that exceeded per capita implementation costs.
