Project Updates

IMPAQ was recently invited to speak about our work in system dynamics at the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Scientific Computing Board’s Annual Scientific Computing Days. Vice President Dr. Minh Huynh gave an address about the methods and techniques IMPAQ uses in our work with the FDA. Senior Research Associate Dr. Aaron Heuser was also featured in the FDA’s event summary video.

To better match capable 50+ workers with the needs of businesses, IMPAQ recently partnered with AARP to analyze future openings in the job market. “Building New Careers: Identifying Shortage Occupations and the Skills 50+ Workers Will Need, 2017-2020” provides recommendations for policy makers and others interested in helping 50+ workers to move into promising occupations where employers are struggling to find talent.

Corporate Social Responsibility                                                                            

​This year, IMPAQ participated in the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Heart Walk for the fourth time in a row. The Heart Walk is a fun, healthy staff outing that supports AHA’s mission to fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies, and provide life-saving tools. IMPAQ staff raised $3,225 and IMPAQ’s Corporate Social Responsibility program matched over $4,000.


IMPAQ will sponsor the Society for International Development Washington, DC Chapter Annual Dinner, on December 8 in Washington, DC.

IMPAQ will interview candidates and a host a reception during the American Economic Association (AEA) Annual Meeting, January 5-7, in Philadelphia, PA.
