Ms. Laurence Dessein
IMPAQ Education Research Associate Dr. Michaela Gulemetova and International Development Senior Research Analyst Ms. Laurence Dessein will co-present “Hungry Minds: Evidence from a Multi-Sectorial School Feeding Program in Burkina Faso” on March 9th from 11:30-1:00 PM in Room 561.
Dr. Gulemetova has extensive training in advanced econometrics, particularly quasi-experimental methods and their applications to evaluation and policy analysis. In addition, she has a wealth of experience in education research and program evaluation, both U.S. domestically and internationally. She has more than 7 years of professional experience in proposal development, project management, research analysis, report writing, and results dissemination.
Ms. Dessein has ten years of experience conducting and managing the implementation, research and evaluation of complex education policies and programs in developing contexts. She has experience in conveying research from the concept through design, implementation, and report stages. Her areas of research expertise include early grade learning, social and emotional development, gender equity, life skills, teacher professional development, and youth labor market outcomes.
