IMPAQ will sponsor the Society for International Development, Washington, DC Chapter (SID-Washington) Annual Dinner on November 29 in Washington, DC. More than 600 international development professionals will gather to network and celebrate. Attendees will include senior level representatives from NGOs, the private sector, government agencies, universities, think tanks, consulting firms, and other organizations focused on development, humanitarian affairs, security, defense, and related fields.
This year, the annual dinner will honor the achievements of Henrietta H. Fore, Executive Director for UNICEF, for her exceptional contributions to champion economic development, education, health, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief in a public service. Ms. Fore is also the first woman to serve as USAID Administrator and Director of United States Foreign Assistance.
SID-Washington is the largest and most active chapter of SID, an international network founded in 1957 to serve as a global forum dedicated to sustainable economic, social, and political development. Through the locally-driven programs of SID-Washington’s member organizations and individuals, the majority of whom work on the front lines of development, SID-Washington is uniquely positioned to inform and promote more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable international development.
