Jean Paul Pétraud Presents at the African Association of Agricultural Economists Conference

Dr. Jean Paul Pétraud

International Development Research Associate Dr. Jean Paul Pétraud will present at the 5th International Conference of the African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE), taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from September 23-26.

Dr. Pétraud will present “Present bias, impatience and risk aversion in farmers’ demand for index insurance and savings: Experiments in West Africa.” The paper reports on results of behavioral experiments about financial choices with farmers in Senegal and Burkina Faso.

Dr. Pétraud leads impact, performance and mixed method evaluations of international projects in the fields of food security, agriculture, education, and labor. His expertise includes behavioral and experimental economics, development economics, agricultural and labor economics, and education.
