Columbia, MD

October 06, 2015

IMPAQ International Executive Vice President Dr. David Baker was recently named a Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) Senior Fellow.

Senior Fellows, as experts and leaders in the field, contribute to the knowledge base of HRET, help to change how health care is delivered, develop practical applications for the management and practice of health care, and work to improve the health care system for those who use it. Dr. Baker status as a Senior Fellow recognizes his contribution to health care research and his continued work with HRET.

“It’s a privilege to serve as an HRET Senior Fellow, to share my knowledge, and to learn from the esteemed cadre of current Senior Fellows,” Dr. Baker said. “I look forward to supporting their mission to transform health care.”

HRET is the not-for-profit research and educational affiliate of the American Hospital Association. The organization’s applied research seeks to create new knowledge, tools, and assistance in improving the delivery of health care by providers in the communities they serve.

IMPAQ works with HRET on several programs, including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) National Implementation of TeamSTEPPS and the Implementation of TeamSTEPPS in Primary Care Settings. In addition, IMPAQ is partnering with HRET on the newly-awarded Strategic Innovation Engine (SIE) program through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
