For Immediate Release

IMPAQ has been named a phase two Research, Measurement, Assessment, Design, & Analysis (RMADA2) contractor by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This award positions IMPAQ to continue providing services to support CMS in all aspects of testing innovative health care models authorized by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA), and other statutes and health reform legislation.

RMADA2 is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award developed by CMS to meet the needs and opportunities presented by new and innovative efforts to reform the health care delivery system in the United States. From a competitive pool of 45 applicants, IMPAQ was one of 20 contractors selected by CMS to join RMADA2 as a pre-vetted provider of a wide range of analytic support and technical assistance activities. The period of performance for the contract is five years.

IMPAQ's deep and broad expertise with CMS and its Innovation Center (CMMI), including the company’s high Contractor Performance Assessment Reports (CPAR) scores, were instrumental in securing the second round contract award.

IMPAQ has collaborated with CMMI to address challenges in rural community health care, kidney and end-stage renal disease treatment, and opioid/pharmaceutical programs, among others. Our extensive work supporting CMS's Quality Payment Program, including Alternative Payment Models (APMs) and the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), have helped the agency make informed decisions in its efforts to enhance value in Medicare and Medicaid by reducing costs, improving quality, and making care more patient-centered.

“IMPAQ's innovation in health care payment and service delivery models is helping CMS make the transition to more accountable, value-based care,” said Dr. David Baker, Executive Vice President, IMPAQ Health. “As RMADA2 awardees, we look forward to partnering with CMS, model participants, and stakeholders to help determine the future of American health care.”
