With the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) Fall Research Conference around the corner, a number of IMPAQ International’s experts are preparing to present various posters, papers, and seminars at the annual event.
The Fall Research Meeting, which will be held November 7 – 9, in Washington, DC, at the Washington Marriott Hotel, Westin Georgetown Hotel, and Ritz Carlton Hotel, will feature more than 200 sessions and 140 posters. According to APPAM, this year’s program will “continue progress on two primary objectives: (1) to promote greater integration across disciplines, methods, topics, and perspectives, and (2) to increase the policy relevance of our work.”
Experts from IMPAQ, a Platinum Sponsor of the Conference, will deal with a number of topics, including the linkages between nonresident fathers and childhood hunger; the effect of WIC on very low food security among infants and children; and how state Unemployment Insurance programs adapted to the 2007- 2009 economic recession.
Dr. Steve Garasky, IMPAQ’s Vice President for Human Services, will also be taking part in a panel on the margins of the conference discussing strategies, opportunities and risks that Doctoral students should be aware of as they embark on the job search.
A full schedule of IMPAQ experts’ participation at APPAM is available here. We also encourage attendees who want to know more about how IMPAQ is developing innovative solutions with a real-world impact, or who are interested in joining our team to visit our booth.
Media interviews with IMPAQ experts are also available. For more information, or to set up an interview, please contact Amgad Naguib at 1.443.539.1393, or email@example.com.
