The Daily Record has named IMPAQ International as a 2015 Innovator of the Year Honoree. The Innovator of the Year Award shines a light on those who have created new products, services, or programs that have improved their fields. This honor comes after IMPAQ implemented the living wage standard for all Survey Center staff in the Columbia, MD office.
“Implementing the living wage standard directly aligns with our mission, to create enduring solutions to global problems,” said IMPAQ President Avi Benus. “We continue to invest in our employees and encourage more area companies to consider adopting the living wage standard.”
The Daily Record began the Innovator of the Year Awards in 2002 as a way to recognize Marylanders and Maryland-based companies for their innovative spirit. Innovator of the Year nominees were asked to complete an application that explains their innovation and the impact it makes on Maryland. The nominations were judged on four basic criteria: originality, impact, challenge, and value.
“Innovators are on the cutting edge and make real change happen,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “Their innovations are integral to our lives, whether they are in health care, education, business, technology, and beyond. The 2015 Innovator of the Year honorees take risks to better our lives and communities, and for that, The Daily Record salutes them.”
The 2015 Innovator of the Year Awards are on October 15th at The Center Club in Baltimore. Winners will be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the October 16th issue of The Daily Record and available online at www.TheDailyRecord.com.
