Ms. Amanda Ahlstrand joins IMPAQ International as Managing Director of Workforce and Family Support. After a 16-year career with the U.S. Department of Labor, Ms. Ahlstrand will help IMPAQ further strengthen our ability to design and implement national and local workforce systems with research and evidence-based technical assistance.
Ms. Ahlstrand is an experienced member of the Federal Senior Executive Service with extensive knowledge in Federal management and partnership building. She brings to IMPAQ expertise in workforce development programs and policy, performance accountability, evidence-based program management, and strategic partnership and planning.
“Amanda understands how to achieve program results with data-driven, real-time improvements,” Executive Vice President Tina Barretto said. “She will help connect IMPAQ’s research, evaluation, and technical assistance expertise with our clients' efforts to support economic expansion, so together, we can develop the talent of our nation's workforce.”
Prior to joining IMPAQ, Ms. Ahlstrand was a Senior Executive for the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration. In her role, Ms. Ahlstrand oversaw program management across nearly $5 billion annually in workforce development grant programs and related activities.

Ms. Ahlstrand earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and sociology from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
