IMPAQ at the 2018 Allied Social Science Association Annual Meeting

January 5-7, 2018

Since 2005, IMPAQ has been a member of the American Economic Association (AEA) and has participated in the Allied Social Science Association (ASSA) Annual Meeting. At this year’s Annual Meeting, we will be recruiting, presenting, and hosting an invitation-only reception. We are excited to join leaders in economics at the meeting and to learn, network, and contribute to AEA’s mission.

IMPAQ Recruitment at ASSA

As a part of our recruitment efforts, IMPAQ will conduct interviews with dozens of candidates for different positions throughout our organization. Each year, IMPAQ recruits exceptional economists and researchers who contribute to our continued growth and expertise. This year, IMPAQ will also host an invitation-only cocktail reception for the interview candidates and IMPAQ staff.

IMPAQ Presentation

Dr. Neha Nanda will present "Startups for Unemployment? A Randomized Control Trial Study in Florida" during the The Effectiveness of Public Policies to Promote Employment and Safety paper session on Friday, January 5 at 12:30 PM in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 202-B. IMPAQ researchers Carolyn Corea and Dr. Bruno Gasperini co-authored the presentation.

About the ASSA Annual Meeting

The AEA, in conjunction with 58 associations in related disciplines known as the Allied Social Sciences Associations (ASSA), holds a three-day meeting each January to present papers on general economics topics. This year, more than 13,300 of the best minds in economics will meet in Philadelphia, PA to network and celebrate new achievements in economic research.
