The purpose of the Newark Workforce Management System (NWMS) was two-fold. The first was to create a system that was able to collect data from select external systems and then archive that data in a data warehouse. The consolidation of these disparate datasets into one central repository allowed for NWIB to more readily access this data so that they may perform their own custom analyses of their operations. The second purpose of the NWMS was to provide NWIB with a user interface that allows them to create their own customized reports and monitor relevant metrics in an effort to better inform decisions that will increase operational efficiency and maximize positive program outcomes. The NWMS architecture employed a flexible framework that allows for the system to accommodate new requirements as they are identified at the data warehouse, and query suite levels.
