The Socio-Emotional and Affective Intervention and Assessment Landscape in Higher Education (SEAI Landscape) was a project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to study the landscape of research and practice on social-emotional and affective factors (also known as non-cognitive factors) that impact college success and career readiness.

The project examined the research base to determine which non-cognitive factors are most important; which interventions are used in the field to develop these factors, and how these factors are assessed. The project also identified gaps in the field and provided actionable recommendations for the Foundation's work in understanding affective/socio-emotional factors.

In collaboration with scholars from Harvard University and Boston College, IMPAQ International worked to design and administer two surveys of higher education institutions and workforce employers, conducted follow-up interviews and literature reviews, analyzed the data, and participated in reporting and dissemination.
