IMPAQ provided cost-effective and efficient support and logistics services to the Children’s Bureau (CB) for the 20th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN). We worked closely with the CB and the National Child Abuse and Neglect Technical Assistance and Strategic Dissemination Center (CANTASD) to plan the content and present the conference.
This is the only federally-sponsored national conference devoted to the issues of child maltreatment and the nation’s leading training and technical assistance event for practitioners, policy makers, advocates, and researchers. More than 2,000 in-person and virtual participants meet for two-and-a-half days, gaining knowledge; building skills and powerful collaborative networks; and shaping public policy, research, and practice in child maltreatment and child welfare.
We used a mixed-methods approach that drew on our more than 24 years of Federal conference planning experience. In addition, we were the prime contractor on the CANTASD contract, and our team members were the Key Personnel for the 20th NCCAN logistics contract work across both contracts.
Our team included a conference manager, IT specialist, and a virtual event specialist who are using their decades of experience supporting in-person and virtual events
